LIGHTING CONCEPTThe lighting concept of the facade is simply to highlight the bottom part of the cantilever so that visible at the night time.
The problem is how to enchance this form propriately, showing the form of the building as well as avoiding tresspass light to the interior.There were 3 studies on how to illuminate this surface:
LINEAR GRAZINGThe linear grazing directed to the surface. The color of the surface should have a gradation from dark to light, so that the luminance level of the surface will be uniform.
The disadvantages is creating huge glare for interior.
TRANSLUCENT GLASSThe illuminated surface with translucent glass and led lighting is put to replace the metal surface of the cantilever.
The disadvantages is fire protection issue.
PERFORATED METALLED plates as a light source is placed in upper part of the cantilever facing downward.
The metal for the cantilever is replaced by perforated metal in order to act as a diffuser and avoiding the direct luminaire view. With this solution, glare to the interior can be avoided, no issue of fire protection and the lighting effect is acceptable.

LIGHTING CONCEPTBoulevard is a long outdoor wide street in the middle of town or city. The surrounding elements of boulevard are long pathway, space boundaries, and blue sky.
Those elements are transferred into the building by giving a feeling of straight pathway in corridor, focal point in some entrance of the room, and blue colour ceiling. Those elements are also the main focus for the lighting design concept.
